
The movie ‘Victory’ is firmly holding onto the box office throne while diligently racing towards surpassing the breakeven point.
According to the integrated computer network for movie ticket sales from the Korean Film Council on the 9th, ‘Victory’ attracted 36,744 viewers the previous day, bringing its cumulative audience to over 1.43 million.
Despite the risk posed by Yoo Ah-in, who has halted activities due to drug scandals, the film is receiving praise for being well-made and is cruising towards success, maintaining the top spot in advance ticket sales. It is racing towards the breakeven point of 1.8 million.
In second place is ‘Lobby’ (directed by Ha Jung-woo), which managed to gather only 11,902 viewers, with a cumulative audience of about 187,000. Its advance ticket sales have also fallen out of the top five. The breakeven point for the film is approximately 1.5 million.
Third place goes to ‘Attack on Titan: The Final Season - The Last Attack’ (directed by Hayashi Yuichiro), which was chosen by 6,789 viewers, bringing its cumulative audience to about 650,000.
Fourth place is ‘Opposition,’ which is set to release in a week. It attracted 6,025 viewers through a special screening. Fifth place is ‘Mickey 17’ (directed by Bong Joon-ho), which met 1,875 viewers, bringing its cumulative audience to 3,002,467.
As of 7:30 AM, the real-time advance ticket sales ranking also shows ‘Victory’ in first place, followed by ‘Amateur,’ ‘Attack on Titan: The Final Season - The Last Attack,’ and ‘Opposition.’
