The full group of BTS is stretching its wings. As mentions and plans regarding the members' activities are revealed, fans' expectations are also rising.

On the 8th, Jungkook opened up on the fan communication platform Weverse, saying, “I’m late in sending my New Year’s greetings,” and added, “(This year) is the year of discharge and the year we meet. As always, I just have a lot of longing to see you. I will just wait a little longer.”

He continued, “If there’s something I want to hurry and do, it’s to learn and grow in various ways for ARMY (the fandom name). I want to say that I feel a bit overwhelmed because I miss you all so much.”

Jungkook, who enlisted alongside member Jimin in December 2023, is currently serving in the 5th Infantry Division of the Army and will be discharged on June 11. With only five months left until his discharge, Jungkook’s aspirations are clearly conveyed. Not only Jungkook, but all members currently serving in the military will be discharged and released from service in June. This indicates that the full group comeback of BTS is not far away.

The eldest brother Jin and J-Hope began their discharge journey last year, heating up for solo and team comebacks ahead of the other members. Last year, Jin participated in the ‘BTS Festa’ event and held a fan concert, and this year, J-Hope will kick off his first solo world tour starting in February. He will open at the Gymnastics Arena, the largest venue in the country, and perform a total of 31 shows in 15 cities worldwide, including Brooklyn, Chicago, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Osaka. This is truly the beginning of a busy schedule.

BTS entered a period of team hiatus as all members began their military service in December 2023. However, during this hiatus, the solo albums released sequentially by the members have proven to be globally successful, demonstrating their exceptional popularity.

As BTS enters its 12th year since debut this year, their musicality and popularity remain strong. In particular, during the ‘2023-2024 BTS Festa’ held in the absence of the members, hundreds of thousands of fans gathered, showcasing the unwavering passion of ARMY (the fandom name).

In response to this love from fans, the members are gradually showing their appreciation. As time passes, in 2025, finally, the full group of BTS will return. It is a moment when the synergy between ARMY and the full group of BTS, which has led the global K-pop trend, is stirring.
