The group SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) has swept the 1st and 2nd places in last year's annual album chart.
According to the Circle Chart's 2024 annual chart announced on the 10th, SEVENTEEN's 12th mini album 'SPILL THE FEELS' took the top spot in the album category. This marks SEVENTEEN's second consecutive year at the top of the annual album chart, showcasing their status as 'album powerhouses.'
'SPILL THE FEELS' sold over 3.18 million copies in its standard edition alone. Including the kit version (ranked 74th) and Weverse version (ranked 75th), the total sales exceed 3.82 million copies. This album is the only K-pop album released last year to achieve triple million-seller status based on initial sales (sales in the first week after release).
SEVENTEEN's best album '17 IS RIGHT HERE,' which topped the album chart in the first half of last year, sold 3,153,616 copies (standard edition) and ranked 2nd in the annual album chart. The combined sales with the Weverse version (ranked 80th) and kit version (ranked 98th) amount to approximately 3.66 million copies.
The single album 'THIS MAN' by Jeonghan and Wonwoo, which set the record for the highest initial sales for a K-pop unit album, also performed well. This album ranked 38th and 86th for the standard and Weverse versions, respectively, with total sales exceeding 870,000 copies.
In addition to new releases, SEVENTEEN's mini album 'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN' released in 2023, the 4th studio album 'Face the Sun' released in 2022, and the 9th mini album 'Attacca' released in 2021 also ranked in the charts. SEVENTEEN set a record for the most entries in the annual album chart with a total of 9 works in the top 100.
SEVENTEEN's songs also made a strong showing in the digital music category. Five songs, including the title track 'MAESTRO' from SEVENTEEN's best album, entered the global K-pop chart, and four songs made it onto the digital chart. The download and streaming charts featured six and four songs, respectively.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year with various activities for their fans. First, the special unit BSS (Seungkwan, DK, Hoshi) released their second single 'TELEPARTY' on the 8th and is currently active in music broadcasts.
Group activities will continue as well. They will hold the 'SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR IN ASIA' in major stadiums in Asia from January to February. In April, they will be the first K-pop artists to perform at the largest music festival in Latin America, 'Tecate Pa’l Norte 2025,' held in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.
