Singer Jessi, who faced controversy for being a bystander during a fan assault, has shared her recent updates.
On the 24th, Jessi posted several photos on her SNS account with the message "Thank you for your energy, Manila."
In the released photos, Jessi is seen performing in Manila, Philippines, capturing moments with her fans. As before, she draws attention with her bold red outfit and captivates with her bright and energetic movements and expressions.
After being embroiled in the fan assault controversy last September, Jessi has updated her status, indicating that she is back to her regular schedule.
According to police reports, on September 29 of last year, a minor fan approached Jessi in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to request a photo, but was assaulted by a male member of Jessi's entourage. Jessi attempted to intervene but left the scene afterward. Following the victim's report, police arrived and questioned Jessi and her entourage nearby, but they reportedly claimed not to know anything about the assailant's whereabouts.
As the controversy continued, Jessi apologized via SNS, stating, "I was very surprised by the sudden situation and could not pay careful attention to that fan. Regardless of the circumstances, I feel very sorry that my fan suffered such an unexpected harm, and I feel a moral responsibility."
Subsequently, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul decided not to pursue charges against Jessi for threats and harboring a criminal, concluding that there was no evidence to suggest she was involved in the assault or had helped the assailant escape.
