Three members who left the group Fifty Fifty, Aran, Saena, and Shio, have come together with producer Ahn Seong-il for their re-debut.
As reported exclusively by Maeil Business Star Today on the 26th, Ahn Seong-il has signed a one-year producing contract with the agency of former Fifty Fifty members, Massive VNC. Accordingly, Ahn Seong-il will take charge of the overall production of the debut album for the new group 'Ablum'.
Following the report, Massive VNC stated, "In the process of discussing future activities for our artist Ablum, the members requested to propose producing to CEO Ahn Seong-il, who accepted and began working together."
Additionally, they added, "CEO Ahn Seong-il has joined to successfully promote Massive VNC's global entertainment business."
Aran, Saena, and Shio announced a new beginning by signing with Massive VNC in August last year. Ablum is a neologism derived from the German word 'Blume', meaning flower. It signifies that just as a small seed grows into a beautiful flower, the members will find their own colors based on their individual charms and potentials, and combine their unique colors to create diverse music.
According to Star Today’s investigation, the three members are reportedly preparing for the launch of their new group and are contemplating future album production. Ultimately, they have reached out to Ahn Seong-il, a key figure who was involved in their music during their Fifty Fifty days, and are now on the same boat.
However, it has been confirmed that the members are also taking cautious steps due to the circumstances surrounding the 'Fifty Fifty Tampering (pre-contact before contract termination) incident' with their former agency. They are currently involved in legal disputes with their previous agency, Attract, and Ahn Seong-il is also entangled in legal lawsuits.
Aside from the tampering issue, the musicality of the three has already been recognized. During their time in Fifty Fifty, they showcased their attractive vocals with the global hit song 'Cupid', leaving a mark on global fans.
Currently, Ablum has completed filming for their new music video and photoshoot, and they are set to release an album in the first half of this year. It remains to be seen what kind of impact the collaboration between Ablum and Ahn Seong-il will have on the music industry.
