As the group NewJeans (NJZ) has opened a new official SNS account, ADOR has stated that it is a "breach of the exclusive contract."

On the 27th, NewJeans announced the opening of official TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube accounts under the name 'NJZ' through their official Instagram account.

In this regard, an ADOR representative stated on the 28th to Maeil Business Star Today, "We maintain that the exclusive contract with NewJeans is valid and we are awaiting a legal judgment on this matter. NewJeans has official SNS and YouTube, TikTok accounts for communication with fans, and all other accounts have been opened without prior consultation as per the exclusive contract."

They added, "Engaging in entertainment activities such as posting content outside of the official accounts is a violation of the exclusive contract and could cause confusion for fans and advertisers, so we hope they will refrain from doing so."

The conflict between the two parties began in earnest last November when NewJeans members held an emergency press conference and declared the termination of their exclusive contract with ADOR. At that time, the members stated, "ADOR has neither the will nor the ability to protect NewJeans," and announced the termination due to contract violations by HYBE and ADOR.

However, ADOR rebutted, stating, "As a party to the exclusive contract, ADOR has not violated the contract, and claiming that trust has been unilaterally broken cannot be grounds for termination," asserting that the exclusive contract with NewJeans is valid until July 31, 2029.

Subsequently, NewJeans began independent activities under the names Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein instead of their team name, and ADOR filed a lawsuit on December 3 of last year to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract against the NewJeans members.

As the conflict over the exclusive contract continues, NewJeans announced on the 7th that they would change their team name to 'NJZ' and will release a new song at the 'Complex Live' concert, a side event of 'ComplexCon' to be held in Hong Kong on March 23.
