The mother of the late Taiwanese actress Seo Hee-won has expressed her stance on inheritance and child custody.
According to local media Next Apple on the 28th of last month, Seo Hee-won's mother, Huang Chun-mei, stated, "The rumors that I am fighting with Wang So-bi (my former son-in-law) over inheritance are not true."
She added, "Wang So-bi just needs to take good care of the children," and expressed, "I am old, and I no longer have the energy to fight over such matters. Losing my daughter is painful enough. Please do not spread such ridiculous and fabricated rumors."
She continued, "Regarding the child support and inheritance issues, he (Wang So-bi) can take whatever he wants," emphasizing, "All I want is my daughter."
Previously, the late Seo Hee-won passed away suddenly from pneumonia accompanied by the flu while on a family trip to Japan on the 2nd of last month.
Afterward, rumors about Seo Hee-won's inheritance circulated, and her husband, Gu Jun-yeob of the group Clon, stated, "What Hee-won worked hard to save for her beloved family during her lifetime, I intend to give all authority to my mother-in-law."
He further mentioned, "I will take legal measures to ensure that the children's rights are protected through a lawyer until they become adults, so that bad people cannot interfere."
