Singer Kim Ho-joong is reported to have written 100 letters of reflection to reduce his sentence.
On the 8th, Star News reported that Kim Ho-joong filled out 100 letters of reflection after the appeal trial, pleading for leniency from the court.
Currently, Kim Ho-joong is facing the second appeal trial on the 19th. He is charged with causing injury while driving under the influence and fleeing the scene under the Specific Crimes Aggravated Punishment Act, as well as failing to take action after an accident under the Road Traffic Act. He was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison in the first trial last year.
Afterward, Kim Ho-joong's lawyer denied the allegations of him driving under the influence during the first appeal trial, stating, "The defendant (Kim Ho-joong) was already aware that his manager would confess on his behalf, and he did not know that he would have to go to the police for a breathalyzer test."
He further claimed, "If it had been driving under the influence, he would have consumed hard liquor instead of canned beer."
While Kim Ho-joong's side continues to deny the charges, it is also reported that petitions in support of him are still being submitted to the court.
