Singer Jeong Seo-joo and her official fandom ‘Dongbunseojoo’ continue their positive influence into 2025.
To celebrate the 1st anniversary of Jeong Seo-joo’s victory in ‘Mistrot 3’, ‘Dongbunseojoo’ recently donated 7 million won to the Green Umbrella. It is even more meaningful as it is delivered under the name of ‘Singer Jeong Seo-joo’. The purpose is to spread warm hearts widely, rather than just a glamorous celebration for them.
The donation will be used for the ‘2025 Green Umbrella I-Leader’ program, which supports children in talent development. It provides opportunities to bridge the learning gap and discover talents for children in need of educational support. This is a key sponsorship program of the Green Umbrella, which has been leading child welfare in Korea since 1948.
Jeong Seo-joo and ‘Dongbunseojoo’ have shared warmth through donations and talent contributions while traveling across the country. They have communicated closely with local residents whenever possible in places like Yangyang and Inje in Gangwon-do, Cheorwon, Namhae in Gyeongnam, Busan, Incheon, Naju in Jeonnam, Haenam in Jeonnam, and Boryeong in Chungnam.
‘Dongbunseojoo’ stated, “After much thought about what a meaningful gift would be, we decided to donate under the artist's name, fitting the title of ‘Donation Angel Jeong Seo-joo’. We hope this warm heart is well conveyed and that the whole world becomes warm with positive influence.”
Jeong Seo-joo expressed, “I feel a deep reverence for the heartfelt support from my fans. Through ‘Mistrot 3’, I achieved my dreams and received immense love, but more than anything, I am learning to feel the warm heart towards the world directly,” and added, “I will become an artist who practices good deeds not only through music but also outside the stage.”
Jeong Seo-joo made history by becoming the youngest winner in the history of TV CHOSUN’s ‘Mistrot 3’ last March, creating a new wave. With her unique vocal tone and deep emotions, she has received great love across all age groups.
