BLACKPINK's Jennie is making history by breaking records with her first solo album 'Ruby'.
According to Hanteo Chart on the 14th, Jennie's first solo studio album 'Ruby' sold 661,130 copies in the first week (from March 7 to March 13) after its release on the 7th. This makes Jennie the K-pop female solo artist with the highest first-week sales this year.
With 'Ruby', Jennie achieved the highest and first-ever ranking of 9th on the Apple Music 'Top Albums' chart in the U.S. among K-pop solo artists, and secured 2nd place on the Apple Music 'Top Albums' chart in Europe, marking the highest position for a K-pop female solo artist.
The title track 'Like Jennie' is showing a steady upward trend on both domestic and international charts, continuously breaking its own records. In particular, 'Like Jennie' has maintained a top position on all major domestic music sites and entered the Spotify 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart at 12th, rapidly rising to 7th place, showcasing its unyielding popularity.
Not only the title track, but also the pre-released songs 'Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa)', 'ExtraL (feat. Doechii)', and 'Love Hangover (feat. Dominic Fike)' from 'Ruby' are all receiving love and are positioned high on major charts.
Meanwhile, Jennie will hold 'The Ruby Experience' show to celebrate the release of 'Ruby' at Inspire Arena on the 15th.
