Singer Kim Jang-hoon has canceled his concert due to poor ticket sales.

On the 17th, Kim Jang-hoon announced on his social media, “I have unfortunate news. The Suncheon concert has been canceled,” adding, “The reason is poor sales... No matter how poor the sales are, it’s a promise to the audience, and unless it’s an accident, it should be kept, and I expect criticism for that.”

He continued, “Due to the current chaotic situation, almost all cultures in South Korea have died,” and “The Suncheon concert had just over 10% of the total seats booked. Both the agency and I were very surprised. I don’t think we’ve ever seen this even in bad times before.”

He added, “During the last Suncheon concert, there was a state of emergency, and ticket sales completely stopped from that day, yet about 70% were still booked. However, the last concert was canceled on the day due to an accident, and the agency kindly understood. For this concert, I was willing to give up my guarantee to cover the agency's losses and to pay my band and staff, but... even though I tried my best, the damage to the local agency would be too great if the concert proceeded, so the agency suggested canceling.”

Kim Jang-hoon expressed, “I am very sorry. I will definitely come back when times get better,” and added, “It would be the best if trust in my concerts builds up again and they do well regardless of the times. Even in this situation, some concerts do well. It seems that concerts with strong fandoms or trot performances are doing fine. I feel inadequate.”

In conclusion, he said, “I sincerely apologize to the audience in Suncheon. I will definitely return with a good performance, so I humbly ask for your understanding this one time. I am very sorry for not being able to bring joy to the kind agency in Suncheon and only causing them harm. I hope to see you again next time.”

Kim Jang-hoon will start his '2025 Kim Jang-hoon Nationwide Tour Concert One-Man Show' with a performance in Changwon on the 22nd. The Suncheon concert was scheduled for the 29th.
