The members of the group New Jeans (NJZ) have completed the registration of their new team name's trademark rights.
The members announced a new beginning with the new team name 'NJZ' on the 7th of last month. Upon confirmation, they completed the trademark application for 'NJZ' through their legal representative, law firm Sejong, on the previous day, February 6th.
The members have applied for trademark rights in a total of 10 categories, including ▲ Class 3 (non-medical cosmetics and toiletries) ▲ Class 20 (furniture) ▲ Class 25 (merchandise sales) ▲ Class 18 (leather and imitation leather) ▲ Class 35 (advertising) using the NJZ logo and symbol.
The applicants are registered under the real names of the five members.
Previously, the members have emphasized their presence by revealing various forms of merchandise or images made with NJZ through their official SNS.
In particular, on the 15th, they posted a graphic video featuring NJZ necklace merchandise along with the phrase 'D-8 Pit Stop'. The members have announced the release of a new song under the new team name on the 23rd, generating anticipation.
The members will participate in the global street fashion and culture festival 'ComplexCon' held in Hong Kong from March 21 to 23, alongside the release of their new song. Attention is focused on their first activities armed with the new team name.
The members declared the termination of their exclusive contract with their agency Ador last November and have been independently active without using the team name. In response, Ador has filed a lawsuit in court to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract, attempting to prevent the members' independent activities.
