Singer Song Ga-in energized listeners with her cheerful talk and fantastic live performance.
Appearing on MBC Standard FM's 'Son Tae-jin's Trot Radio' broadcast from 1 PM on the 18th, Song Ga-in captivated listeners by sharing behind-the-scenes stories of her album preparation and serving as a judge in the 'Ddaengtong Song Contest' segment.
Having released her 4th regular album 'Gain; Moon' on February 11, Song Ga-in revealed that preparing for the pre-released title track 'Tears Are Falling', which was produced by Shim Soo-bong, was her most challenging endeavor. She stated, "Usually, I use a bold and heavy singing style, but for this song, the key was to sing with less power," and shared that she practiced every night while showering. DJ Son Tae-jin expressed admiration, saying, "It was impressive how perfectly you handled it."
During the radio show, a segment was dedicated to revisiting the records set by Song Ga-in, who not only charted all tracks immediately after the release of her 4th album 'Gain; Moon' but also surpassed 20,000 copies in initial sales, making her the first female trot singer to achieve this. Having recorded achievements such as being the first winner of 'Miss Trot', her first solo concert streamed live on Netflix, attracting 100,000 audience members at the Busan Buddhist Culture Festival, and ranking first in the female category of Star Trot for 184 consecutive weeks, Song Ga-in remarked, "When I participated in 'Miss Trot', I was told to hide my background in traditional music because people might not like it, but later, I felt proud and happy to see my friends from traditional music taking over."
Following this, Song Ga-in performed the title track 'Asadal' from her 4th album 'Gain; Moon' live, capturing emotions with her powerful vocals and unique traditional singing style. Son Tae-jin praised her, saying, "It's a one-of-a-kind voice that cannot be imitated." Additionally, she created a warm atmosphere by printing and waving her first official cheering stick, showing her affection for her fans.
Currently, Song Ga-in is airing her first web entertainment show 'Paldo Gain', where she visits singing classrooms across the country to communicate directly with fans. In this broadcast, the 'Ddaengtong Karaoke' segment was conducted in line with the 'Paldo Gain' concept. A listener participating in the segment expressed, "My parents are 'Again' (the name of Song Ga-in's fandom), and I felt Song Ga-in's charm while attending performances with them," adding, "Song Ga-in is a singer who helps us show filial piety," creating a heartwarming atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Song Ga-in, who is making new history with her 4th album 'Gain; Moon', is scheduled to hold a fan meeting titled '2025 Song Ga-in Fan Meeting "Lifetime" - The Chaoreuda' at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on April 19 at 6 PM to meet with her fans.
