The debut song of the group NJZ is set to be released soon. With the members rebranding from Ador's New Jeans to 'NJZ', all eyes are on their new music. But that is, until the court gives its approval.
The NJZ members announced the release of their new song on the 23rd during a live broadcast last month. They stated, "On March 23, NJZ's new song, which can be considered a debut song, will be revealed."
With only 3 days left until the song's release, all attention is on the court. This is because there is a high possibility that the court's final decision regarding Ador's injunction application against the members, filed in January, will be announced this week. The hearing process concluded on the 14th.
If the court grants Ador's injunction, it will put a halt to NJZ's activities. Consequently, the release of NJZ's new song and their participation in scheduled events in Hong Kong may also become uncertain. However, if the injunction is dismissed, NJZ's independent activities are expected to gain momentum.
Previously, Ador filed this injunction to prevent the members from independently engaging in advertising contracts, music activities, and all entertainment activities without the agency's approval or consent.
The members declared the termination of their exclusive contract with Ador last November and have been pursuing independent paths. They have also introduced their new team name 'NJZ' and have confirmed that they have filed for trademark rights.
NJZ has gained popularity since their debut with New Jeans, known for their unique easy-listening genre songs. At this point, having left Ador, there is great interest in what kind of production and music genre they will return with. Notably, this will be the first domestic new song release for the members in about 10 months since the double single 'How Sweet' and 'Bubble Gum' released in May last year. Aside from their Japanese debut single 'Supernatural' in June, it has been difficult to hear their new voices.
As public attention is focused on them, it remains to be seen whether the court will acknowledge their smooth future.
