Singers Lee Young-ji and Lee Mi-joo have joined in donations to support recovery from wildfire damage.

On the 27th, Lee Young-ji shared on her SNS, "I hope it rains a lot. I hope the firefighters and local residents are not hurt," along with details of her donation.

According to the disclosed details, Lee Young-ji donated 100 million won to the Korean Red Cross with the message "2025 Spring Wildfire Donation."

Lee Mi-joo stated through her agency, "I wanted to provide some strength to the neighbors affected by the wildfires," and added, "I sincerely hope that those who are going through difficulties can return to a warm home as soon as possible," donating 10 million won.

Meanwhile, since the 21st, wildfires in the Yeongnam region, including Sancheong in Gyeongnam and Uiseong in Gyeongbuk, have resulted in casualties and numerous evacuees.

Currently, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has decided to expand the existing disaster safety initial response team into an emergency response team that includes relevant departments due to the spread of wildfires caused by ongoing dry weather and strong winds, resulting in many casualties and evacuees.
