Karina from the group Aespa and singer Jung Dong-won have donated a total of 100 million won.

The Korean Red Cross announced on the 27th that singer Jung Dong-won, who was appointed as an ambassador in 2024, along with his fan club 'Uju Chongdongwon', has designated a donation of 100 million won and relief supplies worth 30 million won for the recovery from wildfire damage in Jung Dong-won's hometown of Hadong.

Jung Dong-won stated, "I sincerely hope that this brings comfort to those affected by the sudden wildfires, and I express my deep condolences to the victims and their families," adding, "I also want to thank and support the firefighters who are working tirelessly day and night, and I pray that there will be no further loss of life and that the wildfires across the country, including my hometown Hadong, will be extinguished soon so that everyone can return to their daily lives."

Karina also donated 50 million won each for firefighter support and wildfire damage relief, totaling 100 million won.

Karina expressed, "It feels like there has never been a time when I longed for ordinary daily life as much as now," and added, "I sincerely hope that the prolonged wildfires will come to an end soon, and that everyone affected can return to their daily lives." She continued, "I express my deep condolences to those who lost their lives in this wildfire, and I sincerely thank the firefighters who are working tirelessly on the scene."

Meanwhile, since the 21st, wildfires in the Yeongnam region, including Sangcheon in Gyeongnam and Uiseong in Gyeongbuk, have resulted in casualties and numerous evacuees.

Currently, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has decided to expand the existing disaster safety initial response team into an emergency response team that includes relevant departments due to the ongoing dry weather and strong winds causing the wildfires to spread, resulting in many casualties and evacuees.
