Singer JK Kim Dong-wook made remarks that seem to target singer Lee Seung-hwan, who has been in favor of the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol.

On the 28th, JK Kim Dong-wook posted on his SNS, "I have nothing to boast about as a musician, but in a situation where the whole country is shedding blood, sweat, and tears due to wildfires, it's pathetic to see politicians going to take pictures or senior singers singing at candlelight vigils... I'm at a loss for words."

The singer JK Kim Dong-wook mentioned here is believed to be Lee Seung-hwan. The day before, Lee Seung-hwan stood on stage at a candlelight cultural event held in Jongno-gu, Seoul, urging the designation of a trial date for President Yoon's impeachment.

At this event, Lee Seung-hwan said, "In my frustration, I contacted the organizers, hoping that our songs, cries, and wishes would reach the Constitutional Court. I wanted to comfort the anxious and uneasy democratic citizens, so I dragged my old body back onto the stage."

In contrast to Lee Seung-hwan, JK Kim Dong-wook has been vocal against the impeachment of President Yoon. On the 26th, he strongly criticized the recent acquittal of Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, regarding violations of the Public Official Election Act, saying, "I hope you meet a good judge even if you commit a crime in the future. There is no law, only political trash running rampant in this country."

Additionally, JK Kim Dong-wook lamented during President Yoon's arrest, stating, "The rule of law in South Korea is collapsing."
