Choi Jin-young passed away suddenly on March 29, 2010, at the age of 40. The news was particularly heartbreaking as it came just 1 year and 5 months after his older sister, actress Choi Jin-sil, had also passed away.
Choi Jin-young debuted as an actor in the 1990 film 'Let's Look at the Sky Sometimes' and had been active in the industry. He also gained popularity as a singer under the stage name 'Sky,' leaving behind the hit song 'Eternal.'
After the death of his sister Choi Jin-sil, he continued his broadcasting activities while taking care of his nephews, Choi Hwan-hee and Choi Jun-hee, but eventually had to stop. He was known to have suffered from depression during his lifetime.
