Singer and actor Hwang Min-hyun has joined in to support the recovery from wildfire damage through donations.
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on the 29th that singer and actor Hwang Min-hyun donated 50 million won for the recovery from wildfires in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan.
Hwang Min-hyun expressed to Hope Bridge, "I hope this can be of some help to those affected by the wildfires. I sincerely wish for a quick return to normalcy."
Meanwhile, since the 21st, wildfires in the Yeongnam region, including Sancheong in Gyeongnam and Uiseong in Gyeongbuk, have resulted in casualties and numerous evacuees.
Currently, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has decided to expand the operation of the existing disaster safety initial response team into an emergency response team that includes relevant departments due to the ongoing dry weather and strong winds causing the wildfires to spread, resulting in many casualties and evacuees.
