Singer Hwasa has stepped up to support wildfire victims.

On the 29th, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced that singer Hwasa (Ahn Hye-jin) donated 100 million won to share the pain of the many victims affected by the wildfires that have engulfed the nation.

The donation will be used for emergency relief, provision of daily necessities, and operation of temporary shelters for residents in wildfire-affected areas such as Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam.

Hwasa stated, “I hope this donation can be of some help to the victims who have lost their homes due to the wildfires,” and added, “I sincerely wish for everyone to regain their daily lives as soon as possible.”

Meanwhile, since the 21st, wildfires in the Yeongnam region, including Sancheong in Gyeongnam and Uiseong in Gyeongbuk, have resulted in numerous victims, including fatalities.

Currently, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has decided to expand the existing disaster safety initial response team into an emergency response team that includes relevant departments due to the ongoing dry weather and strong winds causing the wildfires to spread, resulting in many casualties and displaced persons.
