Singers Ken and Kay have contributed to the relief fund for wildfire victims.

On the 29th, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced that Ken donated 10 million won for the recovery of areas affected by wildfires in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan.

The donation will be used for emergency relief, provision of daily necessities, and operation of temporary shelters for residents in the wildfire-affected areas such as Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam.

Ken stated, “I made this donation hoping it would help those affected by the wildfires, even if just a little. I also want to express my deep gratitude to the firefighters who are doing their best to extinguish the fires,” and added, “I hope all the disaster victims can return to their peaceful daily lives as soon as possible.”

Kay also donated 10 million won, expressing, “I hope more people will take an interest in this pain and extend a warm hand to the victims.”

Meanwhile, since the 21st, wildfires in the Yeongnam region, including Sancheong in Gyeongnam and Uiseong in Gyeongbuk, have resulted in casualties and numerous displaced individuals.

Currently, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has decided to expand the existing disaster safety initial response team into an emergency response team that includes relevant departments due to the ongoing dry weather and strong winds causing the wildfires to spread, resulting in many casualties and displaced persons.
