Nana, a former member of the group After School, has appealed for an end to the hate comments she has received after pointing out the character controversy surrounding Sunwoo from The Boyz.
On the 15th, during a communication session with fans on the fan communication platform Bubble, Nana addressed a comment that said, "How can you speak ill of Kim Sunwoo?" by stating, "This is a space for me to communicate with my fans who love me."
She added, "I find Instagram uncomfortable due to malicious comments, but I try to overlook it saying 'that can happen.' However, I don't think it's right to come to this space and leave such comments."
Nana continued, "I hope you can refrain from hate comments. I wish this could stop here for Sunwoo's sake as well."
Additionally, Nana told her fans, "This space is ours, so I try to read every single comment. Let's not fight because of me and only say good things."
Recently, Sunwoo was involved in a controversy after a video surfaced showing him dropping his wireless earphones while trying to enter an elevator and shouting, "My earphones." A security guard immediately ran over to pick up the earphones and handed them to him with both hands, but Sunwoo received them with one hand and did not express gratitude, leading to the character controversy.
In response, Nana commented, "He needs to be scolded," and "You can tell a lot from one action," amplifying the discussion around Sunwoo.
In response, Sunwoo expressed, "To those who criticized my shortcomings and immaturity, and to those who felt hurt by my actions, as well as to everyone around me who loves me, I want to convey my sincere apologies. I truly apologize to everyone who felt discomfort and hurt due to my immature responses. And I am very sorry to my fans, the Deobis, who love me."
