
The Japanese concert of Girls' Generation's Taeyeon has been canceled.
On the 17th, the agency SM Entertainment (hereinafter SM) announced through its official Japanese website that Taeyeon's solo debut 10th anniversary concert 'The TENSE', scheduled to be held at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan on the 19th-20th, has been canceled.
SM stated, “The equipment used for the Asia tour is currently being transported to Japan, but it has not yet arrived, making it very difficult to prepare adequately for the performance.” They continued, “After repeated consultations with the relevant authorities and exploring all possibilities, we have come to the conclusion that it is difficult to hold the performance,” and added, “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to those who were looking forward to the concert.”
SM also mentioned, “We are considering the possibility of an alternative performance,” and stated, “We will provide further information and details as soon as decisions are made.”
Taeyeon began her Asia tour starting in Seoul from March 7-9, and has performed 'TAEYEON CONCERT - The TENSE in ASIA' at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines on March 29, and at the Indonesia Arena in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 12th.
Following the canceled concert in Tokyo, Japan, she has upcoming performances in Macau, Singapore, Bangkok, and Hong Kong.
