Broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon supported Bae In of the group Just B, who declared coming out as the first male idol.

On the 27th, Hong Seok-cheon posted on his SNS, “Congratulations and I will support you,” along with a message of encouragement for Bae In.

On that day, Bae In responded with a letter saying, “Hello, senior. This is Just B's Bae In.”

Bae In expressed, “I felt a great resonance after reading your warm support and heartfelt advice in the article,” and added, “Because you walked the lonely and difficult path 25 years ago, I was able to muster a little courage to be here now. Although I have fears on my path, thanks to you shining like a lighthouse in front of me, I feel I can take one step at a time.”

He continued, “I also want to be someone who can give strength to others like you, senior. I hope to visit you in person someday to express my gratitude. I always support and respect you.”

Earlier, on the 22nd (local time), Bae In revealed his sexual identity during the world tour 'Just Odd' held in Los Angeles, saying, “I am proud to be a member of the LGBTQ community.”

Afterward, Hong Seok-cheon publicly supported him in an interview, stating, “It’s a fresh shock and a pleasant news for me to have a junior in the entertainment industry who speaks like this.”

Hong Seok-cheon debuted in the entertainment industry in 1995 and became a hot topic when he declared coming out in 2000, being the first in the industry.
